Elisha Stewart
The 1820 Federal Census shows Elisha Stewart, two males under 10 (Abraham [b: 1815] and Sampson [b: 1818], one male 26 - 44 (Elisha) and one female 16 - 25 (wife Mary) living in Perry County, Tennessee. Elisha died in 1827 in Perry County, Tennessee. At that time, Abraham would have been around 12, Sampson 9, Lindley 7 and Robert 2. Mary then married William Spicer. William Spicer left his land in the Tumbling Creek area of Humphreys County, Tennessee to Mary and her sons. The property was deed to them on November 17, 1838 by William Spicer, their step-father. The deed states that it is from Willam Spicer to Mary Spicer (Elisha Stewart's widow), Abraham Stewart, Sampson Stewart, Lindley Stewart and Robert Stewart.
