Elizabeth Rheude was born October 13, 1872 in Germany to parents Georg and Elisabeth Rheude. On 14 JUN 1890, she married John Perry Fite. Elizabeth and John had the following children:
Rose Gertrude - born 30 APR 1888 in Illinois. Rose married William George Frothinger on June 1, 1916.
Cora Mae - born 4 FEB 1896
Elmer J. - born 15 JUN 1896 in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana. Elmer married Mildred I. Nichols on 5 OCT 1925 in Tipton, Tipton County, Indiana. Elmer passed away 23 OCT 1975 in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana.
Freda A - born 15 SEP 1897
Myrtle "Matilda" Armilda - born 4 DEC 1898
Ted "Keller" Hilton - born in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana on 17 OCT 1900. He married Adaline Hanchter on 16 JUL 1919 in Howard County, Indiana. Ted died in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana on May 22, 1961.
John Fredrick "Fritzy" - born in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana on 24 MAY 1906. He married Nellie Victoria Ashby on 29 MAR 1924 in Tipton, Tipton County, Indiana. John died 13 NOV 1965 in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana. |
John Fite passed away 25 MAR 1908 at home in Elwood, Madison County, Indiana. John Fite's Obituary~ John Fite's grave marker. On 29 JAN 1923, Elisabeth died in St. John's Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. She is buried in Elwood City Cemetery, Indiana. Elisabeth's Obituary.
In a letter from Elizabeth to her brother, Adam Rheude, date 6 JUN 1916 from Elwood Indiana, she writes:
Dear Brother:
This is my family from left to right: Milda, Herman, Freda, Elmer, Mae, Keller, Rose, Fritzie, myself and Mae's two boys, John and George Talbert. We are very well and hope this will find you the same way. Why don't you write?
